Natural Diet Foundation - AM & PM
NDF AM and PM was the first dehydrated dog food on the market and is based on the Natural Diet recipe developed by Wendy Volhard. This recipe has been clinically tested for over 30 years and has improved the health, vitality and longevity of dogs. During the processing of NDF only moisture is extracted, so that the integrity of the vitamins, minerals and amino acids is maintained, which revitalize when hydrated with water. Herbs have been added to support the liver, kidneys, heart, stomach and the digestive tract of the dog. The ingredients are human grade, not by-products or leftovers deemed unfit for human consumption. All you add is yogurt and vegetables to the AM meal and your dog’s favorite meat to the PM meal.
NDF AM & PM is suitable for dogs with a history of digestive upsets and is used by breeders, trainers and pet owners who wish to have long-lived, healthy dogs.
NDF AM & PM gives you the flexibility to meet any special dietary needs your dog may have.
NDF AM & PM contain only natural preservatives and should be refrigerated after opening.

Days 1 – 5: NDF PM, Water and Raw Beef or Chicken.
Day 6: Instead of beef or chicken, substitute cottage cheese or canned mackerel or salmon.
Day 7 - Half-day fast: Rest from food to cleanse the digestive system. Take your dog for a walk at normal feeding time. You can give water with a little raw honey, if he seems too hungry, and a biscuit before bedtime. Puppies and older dogs are NOT fasted.
Feeding Puppies
Puppies 7 weeks through teething are fed four times a day. If you have a 12-lb puppy, use the guideline for a 25-lb dog. Divide the breakfast into two meals, and feed one at 8 a.m. and the other at noon. Do the same for the evening meal following directions for a 25lb dog and divide the meal in half. Feed one at 4 p.m. and the other at 8 p.m. When the puppy is through teething, reduce feeding to three times a day. Around 6-7 months of age, reduce to two feedings, which will continue throughout the life of your pet following the above charts. Remember to gradually increase the amount you feed as your puppy grows. Dogs go through growth spurts up to 2 years of age and you may have to increase the amount fed for a short period of time.
Note: Dogs, just like people, have different metabolisms and activity levels. The amounts suggested are guidelines. For very active dogs the amounts can be increased, and for less active dogs decreased. Always have fresh water available.
